    Hetty's History Walks will take you beyond Edinburgh's 'picture perfect' Instagram image and popular 'tourist tales' to uncover the history of the city itself - from its tiny, medieval beginnings to the vibrant, cultural capital it is today.

     

     

    With its rich history, dramatic landscape and diverse architecture Edinburgh really is the perfect city to explore on foot.

    Book your ticket

    Browse the tours on offer by visiting my tours page, then simply select a date and buy tickets.

     

    All tickets are sold via Eventbrite, a popular and secure ticketing platform. You can buy tickets directly on my tours page using an embedded Eventbrite checkout or, if you prefer, you can visit my profile on the Eventbrite website.

     

    Tickets are refundable up to 24 hours before your tour starts, minus the booking fee which is included in the ticket price.

    Be prepared

    Check the time and meeting place of your tour (included on your ticket). Most meeting places are centrally located and easy to find but your ticket details includes a contact number if you have any difficulties.

     

    On the morning of your tour check the local weather forecast, remembering that the Scottish weather can be very changeable. I suggest using the Met Office, you can also download their app for updates on the go!

     

    All tours take place outside so for your own comfort wear suitable clothing and a sensible pair of shoes.

    Walk through history

    Each tour begins with a quick bit of 'housekeeping' to inform you of current covid procedures, what to expect during the tour as well as some practical information.

     

    I'll be at our meeting place 15 minutes before the tour starts and I look forward to seeing you there - just bring your curiosity and experience a walk through Edinburgh's history!
