    Hetty's History Walks: Edinburgh Uncovered

  • Discover one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

Guided walking tours for anyone interested in Edinburgh's history: from first-time visitors to long-term residents.

Think Edinburgh's history is all royal castles, quaint cobbled streets, gruesome ghosts and cute scotty dogs? Think again!

Hetty's History Walks will take you beyond Edinburgh's popular Instagram image and typical tourist-tales to uncover the history of the city itself - from its tiny, medieval beginnings to the vibrant, cultural capital it is today.

Famous as the location for dramatic historical events and notorious characters Edinburgh has so much more to offer!

It is a place where ordinary people have lived and worked for over 900 years and a place of world changing developments in economics, philosophy, literature, medicine and more.

Perfect for exploring on foot, a guided walking tour is a great way to discover Edinburgh and its past.

With its diverse range of architecture, intriguing history and dramatic landscape you will benefit from the knowledge of your local guide as you experience one of the most beautiful and engaging cities in Europe.

“I doubt I’ll ever tire of exploring Edinburgh, on foot or in print.”

     local writer Ian Rankin
